Somis Academy BUSINESS School

Within Somis Academy, we have a School of Business, offering majors in Business Communications, Marketing, Entrepreneurship. Upon graduation, students who fulfill the requirements receive a special Business Seal on their diploma.

Requirements for the Seal:
1. Maintains at least a 2.5 average in all subjects, and a 3.0 in Business classes.
2. Completes 60 units of business classes (12 one semester classes) including 20 units in Service, Leadership, Career Locker, and Technology with a focus on the Business applications.
3. Completes 40 units of business classes according to the student's post high school desires, which may include classes taken at community colleges and private instruction.

The 40 units may include classes from different business disciplines.

Business Major Class Offerings: Introduction to Business, Business Marketing, Business and Personal Finance, Career Exploration, Accounting, Business English, and Business Math.

If you are interested in exploring your future career today, The School of Business and Career Technology may be your ticket to future success in the working world.

Somis Academy students enrolled in the School of Business and Career Technology will be able to earn a MAJOR in Business Education and/or enroll in the Ventura County ROP program.

Student may also earn a certificate in a chosen profession.
